Synopsis: Dan Sands, a self-made American couture-denim designer, takes his wife and two kids to Thailand for the Christmas holidays to come clean about the sweatshop he uses to make his clothes. While there, the December 26, 2004 tsunami hits, sending Dan on a journey to find his family that will lead him over 70 miles barefoot into this devastated land, through the darkest corners of their culture, the deepest, forgotten rooms of his soul, and among an unknown people he never knew or cared about. Until he became one of them.

Notes:
• Filming was supposed to take place in March - April, 2007 in Thailand but has been pushed back.
• Hereafter, an independent film, was written and will be directed by Michael Patwin. David's manager, Madeline Ryan, will serve as one of the producers.
• The filmmakers will donate a significant portion of profits from this film to charities serving tsunami orphans through The Hereafter Children's Foundation, operated in conjunction with Give2Asia, a part of The Asia Foundation.
