Favorite Quotes:
• "I thought I smelt a rat!" - Bernard B. O'Hare

O'Hare: "You know what you are, Cambell?"
Cambell: "No."
O'Hare: "You're pure evil! You're pure evil. You might as well be the Devil himself!"
Cambell: "Maybe I am the Devil. What are you going to do to me?"
O'Hare: "I am going to tear you apart because, when I heard that you were alive, I knew that that was the one thing I was supposed to do."

Notes:
• Director Keith Gordon took a small role in I Love Trouble so that he could personally get the Mother Night script to Nick Nolte, whose agent originally thought the project was "too small."
• David and Nick Nolte filmed a Campbell/O'Hare confrontation scene which never made it into the final cut. The scene, however, is included on the DVD. According to the director, David cut his head open during one of the takes in which his character is thrown out the door and into the hallway.
• David's role, which was initally much larger, became a virtual cameo by the time the film was released. Majority of his footage, however, is included on the DVD.

Critical Praise & Commentary:
• "My favorite of the cut scenes features one of my favorite actors, David Strathairn (Limbo, The River Wild, Sneakers) and serves as a nice bookend to his sequence that did remain in the movie." -Harold Gervais, DVD Verdict
