IFP ANNUAL AWARDS LUNCHEON (2007)

Date: September 20, 2007 (Chinatown Brasserie, New York, NY)Overview: David Strathairn was onhand as the indie film organization IFP distributed more than $100,000 to emerging filmmakers at its annual awards luncheon on September 20, 2007. At the Chinatown Brasserie ceremony hosted by actress Melonie Diaz and sponsored by the Hollywood Reporter, directors from IFP's Independent Film Lab and artists in Filmmaker Magazine's "25 New Faces of Independent Film" were also introdiced to the industry-filled crowd. David was a juror at the luncheon and helped bestow the $5,000 Emerging Narrative Screenplay Award to Avi Weider for Zeros and Ones.
