David was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in John Sayles's Limbo. The film was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress (Vanessa Martinez). The Best Actor win went to John Cusack for Being John Malkovich. It was David's fourth Independent Spirit Award nomination. He previously won in 1992 for Best Supporting Actor in City of Hope and was also nominated for Matewan, Passion Fish, and later in 2005 for Good Night, And Good Luck.Related Links:
