Date: March 27, 1993 (Tent, Santa Monica, CA)Overview: On March 27, 1993, David Strathairn attended the 8th Annual Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, CA. David was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in John Sayles's Passion Fish. The film was also nominated and won for Best Supporting Actress (Alfre Woodard). The Best Actor win went to Steve Buscemi for Reservoir Dogs. It was David's third Independent Spirit Award nomination. He previously won in 1992 for Best Supporting Actor in City of Hope and was also nominated for Matewan, and later for Limbo and Good Night, And Good Luck. Related Links:
