Date: March 28, 1992 (Tent, Santa Monica, CA)Overview: On March 28, 1992, David Strathairn attended the 7th Annual Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, CA. David was nominated and won for Best Supporting Actor for his complex performance as a homeless man named Asteroid in John Sayles's City of Hope. It was David's second Independent Spirit Award nomination and first win. He was previously nominated for Matewan and was also later nominated for Passion Fish, Limbo and Good Night, And Good Luck.
