KIDS NIGHT ON BROADWAY (01/28/1997)

Date: January 28, 1997 (Roseland Ballroom, New York, NY)Overview: David Strathairn took part in the first (and now annual) event, Kids Night On Broadway, designated to get young people interested in Broadway and live theatre. The free event, which took place from 4-6:30 p.m., was shaped as a kind of interactive job fair/Broadway flea market, with representatives from dozens of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows participating at tables scattered throughout the large, tented hall. During this time, David was starring on Broadway in Three Sisters and attended the event with co-stars Amy Irving, Lili Taylor and Jeanne Tripplehorn.
