The event included short stories read by David, Hope David, and David Rakoff from authors Miranda Mellis, Pia Z. Ehrhardt and Brian Evenson. Hosted by McSweeney's editor Eli Horowitz, the stage readings took place at 8 p.m. at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre in NYC. David read "Mudder Tongue" by Brian Evenson, a grotesquely funny and deeply sad odyssey of a man whose brain and tongue have, as he puts it, got out of alignment. David has been a long-time supporter and reader for Symphony Space for several years.Related Links: Symphony Space (off site) |
