Overview: On June 1, 2006, David Strathairn took part in a special reading series tribute to actor and writer Spalding Gray entitled Leftover Stories to Tell. The event charted a uniquely personal journey through Spalding's inimitable perspective and voice, featuring excerpts from his hilarious monologues juxtaposed with journal entries, poems, and other unpublished--and previously unperformed--writing. Created and co-directed by his widow Kathleen Russo and Lucy Sexton, the resonant program was performed by several renowned actors and authors, including Olympia Dukakis, Steve Buscemi, Aidan Quinn and Debra Winger, from May 31 to June 4.
