Overview: David Strathairn took part in the Epic Theatre Center's benefit A Celebration of First-Time Voters, a one-night event that also included such collaborators as Tony Kushner, Eve Ensler, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Austin Pendleton, Scott Bryce, Helen Piper Coxe, Warren Leight, Aaron and Julia Krohn, Keira Naughton and Adam Stein, Anuvab Pal, Amy Redford, Jodi Stevens and Tamara Tunie. Honorees (first-time voters) included Westfield High School senior Lisa Basile, Chelsea High School graduate Taneisha James and Morris High School graduates Shaquana Taylor, Jose Vanderpool and Krisy Rodriguez. Showtime was 7 p.m.
