The Young Playwrights Festival is a writing-in-residency program created with the support of a grant by the Berilla Kerr foundation. At the 2002 event, students from Poughkeepsie and Rombout Middle Schools (grade six) gathered at the Bardavon Opera House to work on their writing and record their monologue for the "Principal's Announcements." David was onhand to help the students with their monologue and offer creative insights/advice. • "It's a great opportunity to hear their imaginations come alive...
