Thurman describes how her book evolved and the reading, based on Thurman's book, is a chronicle of the exotic, flamboyant life of French novelist, Sidonic-Gabrielle Colette. The play focuses on Colette's influence on redefining the role of women and women writers. Cast: Robert Sean Leonard .... ? David Strathairn .... ? Penny Fuller .... ? Mary Louise Wilson .... ? Notes: • The reading for this play took place exactly 100 years to the week that Colette's first book was published. • David previously worked with co-star Robert Sean Leonard in In the Gloaming and would work with Mary Louise Wilson again in the premiere stage reading of Racing Daylight.
