Overview: A part of the MTC's Writers in Performance Series with an introduction by Judith Thurman, author of the new biography Secrets of the Flesh. Thurman describes how her book evolved and the reading, based on Thurman's book, is a chronicle of the exotic, flamboyant life of French novelist, Sidonic-Gabrielle Colette. The play focuses on Colette's influence on redefining the role of women and women writers.
