Synopsis: The life story of Eugene Delacroix, the French painter known as "the last of the great Renaissance artists" and "the Prince of Romanticism". Cartmill's play examines the private life of Delacroix and themes of Passion, Love, Longing, and Betrayal in his life and work.

Notes:
• Playwright Christopher Cartmill both wrote and directed David in this stage reading of La Chasse, as well as the another New York reading in 2002. This was the second time David did a reading for this play.
