"In the twilight of a lifetime comes a reconciliation."

Synopsis: Danny, dying of Aids, returns home to die. Always close to his mother, they share moments of openness that tend to shut out Danny's father and sister, and his last months test the bonds of the entire family trying to cope with the situation and each other.

Notes:
In the Gloaming was the directorial debut for the late actor Christopher Reeve. His son, Will, appears in the film as the young Danny, and his wife Dana sings the title song in the closing credits.
• All of In the Gloaming was shot in sequence with the story, a rarity in film and TV production.
In the Gloaming was nominated for five Emmy Awards, including noms for Christopher Reeve (director), as well as Glenn Close and Bridget Fonda.
• David received an ACE Award nomination as Guest Actor/Dramatic Special for his performance.
