Note: On June 14, 2008, the Indiana Medical History Museum will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of John Sayles's 1988 baseball film Eight Men Out, since a scene was shot at the Museum with other filming taking place around other sites in Indianapolis. The celebration will include a bus tour, a round robin tournament of six vintage baseball teams, and an outdoor showing of the film with presentations from baseball historians. If you live in the area, public programs director Norma Erickson would like to encourage residents to take part in the event. Second Update: David attended the premiere of The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008) last night in New York, and over 30 images from the event are in the Photo Galleries. The film's site page has also been updated with new content, including the exclusive Press Release on the movie's soundtrack, curtesy of CineMedia.

Note: As most of you know, on January 22 actor Heath Ledger died tragically at only 28 years old. Ledger was a fellow acting nominee with David during the 2006 awards season for Brokeback Mountain, and he was an incredibly gifted performer who showed a lot of promise in his all-too-brief career. Our prayers and condolences go out to Ledger's family, friends, and fans throughout the world. The entertainment industry has lot a great talent. R.I.P.
